Joshua Stalls

Joshua began his arts education at an early age, acting, dancing, and singing in local and regional musical theatre. He began formal dance training in high school studying and competing in jazz, tap, clogging, lyrical, and hip hop. Joshua has been a featured performer and dancer in many Miss America preliminary pageants in the Raleigh, NC area as well as a dancer in the Miss NC state pageant for two years. Throughout college Joshua studied various forms of dance at the University of NC at Greensboro and East Carolina University including ballet, modern, contact improvisation, and jazz. Additionally he was featured in several show choirs as a performer and student choreographer and participated in various student and faculty dance concerts, choral works, and musicals. He graduated in 2001 from Belmont University with a Bachelor of Arts in Commercial Voice and an emphasis in Composition and Arranging. Joshua is currently a freelance choreographer, vocal and piano coach, worship leader, and developer of various media projects related to the arts and children. He is also the Founder and Executive Director of Camp Great Escape, a non-profit organization that offers camps and character building programs for young people. Joshua oversees the Hip Hop program at Ann Carroll School of Dance and also provides instruction in musical theatre.
